July 2012 and a magical trip to Kenya. Firstly I visited Amboseli, in the south, nestling under the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. Sadly the clouds were low, and the snow capped summit only broke through intermittently. Its a beautiful reserve, very flat, with a salt pan in its centre. Thousands of elephant appear to have made their home on the Masai land, whilst the local vollagers still use the swamp area as watering for their cattle.

Then onto the Masai Mara itself, for a return visit. Again a place of special beauty, wide open spaces, big skies, and wonderful wildlife. Whilst I was early for the migration, this place still beholds so many beauties.
